A letter from PHEASANT RUN GOLF

"As a tourist destination within one of the golf's hottest marketplaces, it seemed to us that a strong internet presence was the easiest way for new players to preview our course. With the help of Michael Donaghy and Citywebsites, the success of the site exceeded our expectations on many levels.

  • Tournament planners could "tour" our facility, even in February, to get a feel for the Pheasant Run golf experience.
  • Travelers could organize their golf itinerary with a better sense of what to expect on their arrival.
  • Changes to conditions, rates, or programs could be posted and disseminated quickly.

An unexpected benefit was valuable cross promotion opportunity provided by Citywebsites and Michael Donaghy with the Docks. August through October, The Docks featured our banner on their cover page. A large increase in site traffic followed, but the most dramatic demonstration of the banners' pull was shown with two fall promotions.

In the first, a change to twilight golf times was posted on our banner with no accompanying advertising and no advance notice in the proshop. On that day, every day following, our twilight tee times were sold out. In the second instance, we introduced shoulder season discounts on our banner supported with small newspaper ads featuring our address. Site traffic following the newspaper ads hit levels five times normal for several days and the bookings to proshop surprised everyone.

In summary, Michael Donaghy and Citywebsites have made our website an important part of our corporate presentation and our primary means of communication with the golfing public."
